Tuition and Fees

With the flexibility of our program structures and the multiple financing options, there’s never been a better time to start earning your master’s degree. Tuition for the degree programs are as follows:

Please note that a one-time, nonrefundable $100 application fee is required. Books and materials are billed separately and are not included in the tuition rate. Your tuition payments may be tax deductible. Your tax advisor can provide further information.

Apply for Government-Backed Assistance

Financial aid can come from a variety of sources for those who qualify, including federal loans and grants. Federal Direct (Stafford/Ford) Loans are available to graduate students and must be repaid, typically via installment payments, upon graduation. Providing nearly 14 million postsecondary students with over $150 billion a year in assistance, Federal student aid programs are the largest source of student aid in America. FAFSA

If you require financial assistance to finance your degree, your first step is to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA evaluates eligibility for federal student loans and other need-based aid such as scholarships, grants and loans. You will need to provide the school code for Michigan State University, which is 002290.


Federal Direct (Stafford/Ford) Loans

As a graduate student, you may be eligible for federal loans up to $20,500 per year toward your degree.** Federal Direct Loans must be repaid and are available to graduate degree students.

**Maximum yearly loan award amounts are up to the amount listed above. Receipt of financial aid is not a guarantee and is dependent on the individual financial needs of the student.

Financing & Payment Options

Employer Tuition Assistance – Many companies recognize the value of employee development and training – benefits such as retention and improved job performance. Your employer may have a tuition assistance program that covers all or a portion of your tuition, books and materials. Benefits vary by company, so check with your human resources department for more details.

Credit Card – Major credit cards accepted.

Private Education Loans – To help make it easier to manage your educational expenses, many financial institutions offer private educational student loans. Check with your bank or credit union to see if it has a student loan program. Most institutions offer a quick application and approval process, so that you will be ready to enroll for the next semester.
